I won't get tied up in these names. It's beautiful and showing growth. Everbody making fancy names and making people buy them for that reason. While putting a heavy price tag on them.

agreed, names are a hoax. Acros color different under different light and under different conditions (imho)

The names simplify the process and create lineage. While it's true that corals look different in different conditions, the genetic makeup of that coral is the same. It's helpful to know what colors and success rates others have had with the same coral. I guess when a coral is randomly named and first thrown out there, the name has no real reference/lineage.

As far as species, I would guess that's an acropora robusta
