Hey guys, so i just purchased a new GHL doser and love it, its a very good quality, the only issue is im unsure how to get it to be programmed remotely from outside of the same wifi signal it is on. It seems there is a way to do it but its technologically out of my skill range it seems. For that reason im probably going to end up going with the apex DOS units. I was hoping to get a potential buyer lined up at least before spending $600 on the 2 apex dosers.

As far as use, I hooked this doser up to my system about 2 weeks ago.

Info on the doser can be found here... https://aquarium.bulkreefsupply.com/search?w=ghl+doser&cnt=

If anyone is interested please let me know, and feel free to make me an offer.

Located in Staten Island, although I will be willing to ship free at asking price.

i had the same problem 2 complicated

Well I dont think the system itself is too bad. Sure its more complex than apex UI, but it was more that I cant figure out how to adjust remotely from outside the house.

Coming from a jebao doser, the quality of this doser is awesome though. I love being able to adjust the dosing speed.

I understand frustration with equipment, but I will say, if anyone has issues with GHL, thier customer service is spot on. They can access your computer if you let them and set it up while guiding you through the process.

FWIW I had the DOS and switched to the 2.0. I too had problems accessing it remotely but after running it for a year I can tell you that I've only had to change the settings once. Once you get it dialed in you really don't need to mess with it other than to add 1 ml per 24 hours once a year or so. Being able to access it only from my local wifi has been fine for me. If I know what my alk and calcium are, I'm definitely next to my tank which means I'm on the same network.

The DOS is REALLY loud. Like REALLY REALLY loud. The GHL doser isn't silent but it's pretty close to a whisper. I find it to be more accurate over time as well. Also with the DOS it doesn't tell you how much it has dispensed. The GHL keeps track of the volume and can alert you when it gets low.
