Contemplating selling entire system and leaving the hobby

Hello everyone, it is with some sadness that I am posting this tonight. Based on recent issues I have been having between flooding the floor a couple of times and really not having enough time to really spend on taking care of my system , I am contemplating leaving the hobby, or at a minimum taking a break from it and see how things go. Every time my family and I try to go on vacation it becomes an issue of who will take care of the system and what will I come back to. As much as I love the hobby I think. Might need some time off from it. So here it goes. If I do sell the system it has to be everything . I will not part out anything. I repeat, I will not part out anything, it?s either all or nothing. Hopefully I do not forget some things.

Dude, sell the corals and put it in the garage. You'll never get 6k for it even though it's worth closer to 10k. Better yet, sell the corals and run it as a fish tank. Auto feeder and Tunze top off....zero worries.

Thanks for the advice. I still need to do the regular maintenance and have someone babysit the tank if I go away, not to mention worrying something goes wrong while no one is there.

very nice tank, if i had space i would get it but like someone mentioned. you not gonna get the 6k selling everything together on here. you might get 3500-4000 if you part out. I know i did it. I suggest selling all fish and coral and see if you can store everything in a garage or storage for 6 months. I had the bug 4 months later and had to but EVERYTHING again. So just to make sure you are 100% out, don't sell the expensive stuff like apex, lights, skimmer, sump just yet.

Agreed I?m selling mines to but I?m upgrading later on in the near future I?m sellin corals live rock and fish only I tried to sell the whole set up but got alot of low offers so gonna put the rest in storage glws

If vacation is a problem and you don't have anyone reliable you can use just pay an LFS to take care of the system while you enjoy your vacations. Yes it will cost a few dollars but at least you know it's taken care of.
