I got this Sun Coral from Deepwater last weekend. It open up nicely. It took me about an hour just to feed the 2 colonies so I am planning to cut the rock into 2 pieces this weekend and only keeping one for myself and trade the other one. Anyone wants to trade with me? Looking for Orange Rics or whatever nice and I don't have. LPS and softies

thanks

I would love to trade with you. What else are you looking for? Pulsing Xenia (2 varieties: blue & purple)? Anthelia, highlighter corals, blastos?

Do you come to manahattan?

any body live close by Fish Town or H20 that would like to trade with me for the Sun Coral. Open to anything

I will feed the Sun Poly tonight, so probably will not need to be fed for another couple days. I have 2 small colony but only wanted one.

this thing is just way too much work for me, i just spend the last hour manually fed each poly and now need to wait for another 30 minutes before i can put it back into my tank.

i had tried the soda bottle and turkey blaster, but manually took it out of the tank and feed it seems to work best. i know my cleaners are waiting for me to put it back into the tank.

probably when i get my dendros, i am gonna trade the other colony also

Are you using a target feeder and it's taking that long? Sun Polyps definitely EAT, no doubt about that. But it only takes a couple of minutes to feed ours either Mysis or Cyclopeez w/a target feeder. (aka overgrown syringe) You can overfeed them easily enough because they'll keep taking it in if you offer it. But you can screw up your tank that way too.
