I am looking for a good home for a white bubble tip anemone and its hosting ocellaris clown. The money is not important so I am not charging for them. Finding a good owner with the right setup is the priority so this not "first come first serve" but rather the person who I feel is most right to be the next care giver for the animals is the one who can have them.

Here is some info. My tank has been up for over four years. I have had the anemone and clown for four years. It took one year for the clown to start hosting. Presently the clown is almost 2" long, the anemone is around 7" in diameter and has been good about not wandering. There are no other tank inhabitants except some soft coral frags. The clown eats Prime Reef frozen and doesn't like dry food or food with gel binders. It is very smart because the first time my girlfriend tried to feed it, it wouldn't eat food given from her and I had to take over and feed it. I never knew they could recognize different people. Though it'd be a stretch if they really could tell the finer points of different dental procedures. :)

Here is my setup:
10g nano
2 x 32W PC lights
Aqua C Remora skimmer
Ice Probe 50W chiller
2 small powerheads
Spectrapure Liter Meter for dosing / top up
RO/DI water
17 lbs fiji live rock, 1" sandbed

At this point I am getting out of the hobby. I feel bad that I took on the responsibility but am not in it for the long haul. Hopefully a more worthy owner can take over. Also, I am hoping the next owner will have an even better environment and that the animals won't be too traumatized by the move.

I hope I don't come off the wrong way, but I will need those interested to PM me their tank setup, length of time established, inhabitants, etc. and possibly email me a picture. I realize I may make some people angry if they don't get selected, but I'd rather have a few people be angry with me, with the result being that my clown and anemone go to the best possible home. So I have a list of requirements. Sorry in advance.

- No tank inhabitants that will be hostile with the clown. It is known that clowns have a lot of inter-species belligerence.

- No nanos. I know that makes me a hypocrite, but I have been wanting them to have more room.

- No newbies. Must have an established tank and good lighting and intakes must be screened off or inaccessible.

- Must take both the clown and anemone together.

- Must pickup. I live in Sunnyside, in Queens. Queens Blvd and 40th St.

- Must promise to send an email and let me know how they are doing once they are settled in and acclimated.

Thanks for looking.

that just may be the most hair algae i have ever seen. I feel ur pain, i have had my clown for about a year and a half and he is hosting in my LT colt coral. He likes me except for when i get to close to the colt, he will nip at my arm and try to whip me with his little tail. Quite adorable. He always knows when i feed him, he comes to the top, but when its someone else he wont come so far. I hope u find a great home for the clown and the anenome.....
