Peacock mantis Shrimp....$25

This guy was in my custody for about a month but he has gotten too large for 1 of the nano tanks... He/she is about 5 inches....

I kept it in a 10 gallon .....
But 1nce they get bigger they will need more space.
This 1 is 3.5 inches ......

He stays in his sand hole usually or in a corner, not an active shrimp but a hungry 1...

Thanx BC.... I think this is a very unique specimen. It requires careful care... U dont want this guy to snap u r finger in half, nor ur glass. Other wise if u are careful this is a trophy shrimp and if u are looking for personality this guy has it all. :eat::lol_large:sgrin::skull:

I know a mantis can crack glass - but are they known to do that? I'm guessing acrylic is the safest way to go.

Actually the hit of a mantis is compared to .22 magnum. :skull:
When it creates the snap, its so powerful that the water is vaporized.
MAntis by the way are such advance creatures that have hyperspectral colour vision. or in English accurate depth perception.
They stays with the same sex partner for around 20 years....:skull::bunnies::bunnies::bunnies::bunnies:
By the way this shrimp is super fast, so dont F%^& with it. It can exelirate speed of 23Meters a second....
