Free Flame Angel with a catch

The catch is, you gotta be able to get him out of my tank!
I have purchased a fish trap and have tried for a few hours to get him out, but he won't go in. I've been wanting to get him out for some time now since he has been nipping at my sps but I've been so busy that I haven't had enough time to really sit and wait. (DO NOT PUT THIS FISH IN AN SPS TANK!!).

Please only respond if you've had some success with getting difficult fish out of a tank. This will probably involve sitting around my place for a while so I'll provide the beer.

I'd like to get him out either today or tomorrow.

Post how big your tank is and how much rock. I wouldn't mind if the guys pass the only hesistation is the space to work?

Give the trap some time. Leave it in the tank so the Angel can get used to it. It's like they know abot traps! But they can also just accept the trap as part of their decor eventually and start swimming around and into it.

or get a quart gatoraide bottle and cut part of the neck off so it's as open as the size of the fish. i left one in tank for 3 days waiting to catch 2 of my wrasse's. oh tie a piece of fishing line onto it to pull it once they go in

The trap has been sitting in the tank for a week now.

The tank is 120g with plenty of live rock for hiding.

Still available to whomever wants to come over and try.

If you don't feed the tank for a few days then put the trap in you might get better luck. I just caught a damsel that way.just need the patience and to be able to resist feeding the tank.

Dude, a small fishing hook with the barb removed is probably your best bet. You can give me the fish after you put it in the sump.

If the fish sleeps in the open net it out at night. Be ready with the net and several hours after lights out turn them on and qhile the fish is stunned grab him. Or even better if you have moon lights youll be able to see the fish and get it out without turning the lights on.

Have you tried putting some of it's favorite sps in the trap? Maybe then it'll go inside.
