HI MR members. It's been awhile. I ask that you be patient and read this all the way through. A little more than 10 years ago i was not only a member here but a vendor. I went by Orange County Corals of New York. I'm Neil and hello again. Back then life circumstances dealt me and my family a terrible blow. My wife< Patricia, was diagnosed with cancer. Keeping things going was difficult. First i lost the business, then my house and sadly my wife too. Devastated i put everything in storage any began the long process of putting my life back together, not for me as much as for my boys who were crushed at loosing their mom.
Okay fast forward to today. All my equipment went into my garages at my new home. I know I don't have the heart for the hobby anymore but I need to make room . Sooooooo, what i would like to do is offer all the equipment I have to MR members ....FREE! Yep you read that right Free, no strings attached. MR and it's members were always good to me and I would like to show my appreciation. Now remember my personal tank was 500 gallons and the coral system was close to 2k gallons. So the stuff i have left is big. But for someone looking to go larger or upgrade or who knows want to take a stab at coral farming. Here is an opportunity to start with $0 down. Here is a partial list...
Volcano skimmer that was on my 500 gallon.
ETSS skimmer by AETeck
GHL controller along with switching power strips etc
Acrylic grow out tanks
Fiberglass grow out tanks
I have a food grade bulk storage container that i used as a sump.
Tons of dry live rock and lots of misc, items small pumps, `LARGE pumps, frag racks etc, etc, etc.
Now I plan on inviting anyone wishing to come on a day in May (TBD)
I will post the date next month and the address the week before. Now couple of things. I'm not going to let anyone come before the day of so they can cherry pick. Bring a vehicle big enough to transport what you might take, Take one item or 10 ... God bless. Just don't take for the sake of taking. ere might be another member who will put it to use immediately. Ad be nice. I'm in Newburgh NY about 60 miles from NYC. Finally everything is used, been sitting so you might need to put a little effort to get them
up to spec.
Now if any of you feel guilty about not paying anything then fine. Take whatever you feel is appropriate and donate it to the club.
One more thing , sorry. It will be on a Sunday, one day only. Whatever remains will go to the dump on Monday. I don't want to hold for later pickup. Thanks for enduring this long winded post.
