This fish is really nice just like in all the standard pictures. You can see him in the Photography forum in the 'Nice Little Fishes' thread. I paid $25 for him. Will trade for another small fish (would like a firefish) or best offer.
He is not going to last much longer in my tank. He only eats what he sifts from the sand. Will not eat anything from the water column dead or alive. Does pick at the rock a bit. he needs a 50 gallon that has been running at least a year. Or possibly a smaller setup with a fuge. I am not sure if a fuge will help because I am not sure if sand organisms manage to move from the fuge to the tank like pods do.
Spends most of the time near the bottom but does go all the way to the top at times. Very to himself but not afraid to be in the open. Needs peaceful tank mates.
I am open to suggestions on how to get him to eat but when carnivors do not chase live brine they are not going to eat anything you put in the water. I do not believe that Rainfordis eat algae even though they pick at the hair algae they are just looking for organisms that cluster there.
