why is it in your sump ? whas it picking at corals? that is one of my favorite fish and I sometimes head out your way like on tuesday but cant say or sure and i dont want to be one of those Iwant it I want it and never get it people so If I head over that way I'll check with you

after being in my tank for so long,i got a purple tang and a atlantic blue tang(bad idea)i thought it might work out but nope.he wont leave them alone ,if you have another tang your taking a chance.if you want more then one tang in your tank you should put them in at the same time.

You could try to re introduce the PB into the display after a few days. Expect some aggresion but it usually works itself out in a few days. I have several tangs in my tank including a sohol--PB--clown--purple--sailfin--scopas and 2 hippos

cb747 also has a 6' tank. unless your ready to rescue him by taking some rock work out, proceed with caution. :knockedou

Purple tangs are nasty! I have a pb, sohal, blond naso, bristletooth tomini, and a scopas tang - they all play nice in the sand box :cheekkiss

From what i gathered the PB was the aggresive one. Now that he has been banished to the sump his "attitude" may be better upon reintroduction to the display.

i had to take 120 pounds of live rock out of my tank plus all the corals to catch him,my purple tang and my atlantic blue tang are so happy now always toghether swiming around the whole tank,im just going to sell him.somebody is supposed to pick him up tomorrow,if they dont its going to awbrandy:biggrin:
