To answer all of your questions, the Controller is Ranco and is actually one of the best thing I've done for my tank (and for myself!) - it keeps the Temperature constant by automatically switching on/of the heater/chiller (or fan), as necessary.
- I am not sure how many lbs of live rock I have - but it is the number of piounds needed by a 26 gal tank. However, I've seen some worms live in the rock - they are flesh-colored, pink. Not sure if harmful for reef. Mine is F/O w/ inverts. If you know, let me know!;-)

Depends how big is your eel. Diameter is from 0.5 to 2". Kinda small for an eel and would not be so aesthetically pleasing, either. Get him a large seashell, if you can find one. It's very pretty.
These PVC are for QT mostly.
