about 7-8" when fully expanded, and the pics don't do the colors justice.

there is still quite a bit of debate, both online and in this forum about the proper care for this species. I have been spot feeding it pretty much everyother day for the past month or so, and it has grown a bit and looks quite healthy.

Before agreeing to buy/trade for this coral, please do some reading on the net about its husbandry requirements. here are a few links Devious sent me. RIF!!!

pickup is in the west 70's.

open to interesting trades, or $60

cyclopeeze and mushed up mysis. i put it in a turkey baster and shove the baster into a 2 liter soda bottle with the bottom cut off, put it over the goniopora, and let it "stew" for a few minutes. its the easiest way i know of to make sure most of the polyps get fed.

I doubt it's benefiting much from Cyclo & Mysis but either way...no need to spot feed Goni every day.
We can start this topic on another thread...;)

-BUMP- for a nice piece.
It looks very healthy.

thanks D.

its been in the tank for about a month and a half and i really like it, but its huge, and there is nowhere to put it.

as for the spot feeding, pls fill me in. i was going based off of wetwebmedia, which hasn't led me astray so far.

i know you are the link king, so here is what bob fenner had to say ;)

I have a large green gonipora and I never feed mine it got huge. I feed my tank cyclopeeze and mysis ever other day. But I never spot feed the goni. IMOP they don't need to be fed. Nice looking goni. Good luck with your sale.

it certainly is not a historically easy coral to keep, but more and more people have been having success with them (at least according to the web).

the guy i got this from had it in his tank for around 6 months, and it seems to be thriving in my tank...
