im looking for 24" t5 lighting for my tank, but i was originally looking for a 4 bulb fixture, anyway how much watts dose yours have in total? maybe ill take it?

i believe its 48w total. my friend has the same light and is keeping an assortment of corals and they're growing. lmk.

thing is i have a 30 gal tank, and i have 2 t8 bubls on it now, each of them are 15w so total i have 30w and i tryed putting it some simple mushrooms and they all died, how many watts do i need for this tank? or are the t5 bulbs gonna be better?

I believe T5's are a lot better than T8s. T8s are regular bulbs you can get at home depot. Not good for keeping corals. These bulbs are 24w each, 1 actinic (blue) and 1 10,000K (white).

ok thanx for the info, im just very new at saltwater...
but is 48w enough for my 30gal tank to keep coral?

it is fine for soft corals like zoas and mushrooms, some LPS like frogspawn and such but i don't think my light will fit on your 30 gallon. this light is 24 inches and i think your 30 gallon is 36 inches. correct me if im wrong.

i measured my tank and its 24", maybe its not a 30 gal but i know for sure that its 24".
