Hi all,

I've decided to take down this tank, so I'm offering it for sale. I'm only selling the tank, stand and a custom, matching Kawneer brown aluminum light bracket. You'll need to add a sump, skimmer and lighting to get this aquarium up and running - I was never keen on the stock sump and skimmer.

This was purchased locally from Greenwich Aquaria. The tank and stand is in great condition. The tank itself has no scratches, has the optional starfire glass on the front and sides and is very clean (virtually no coralline algae).

The tank comes with all fittings and will readily accept standard hoses for the drain and return lines.

I'm asking $500 (price drop 9/23/10) for the tank. This tank can be picked-up from either Flushing (during business hours) or Great Neck (off-hours & weekends). PM me for answers to your inquiries.

Thanks for looking!

I'd like to add pictures of the custom Kawneer light stand. Kawneer is arguably the best aluminum beam manufacturer (they're a division of Alcoa), and the reason I went w/ this type of aluminum is the highest rated durability and resillient finish. This is also the same type of metal used in aluminum framing for high-profile glass & aluminum buildings and entryways. If it can withstand years of being outdoors in all climates, the finish can take saltwater and high-intensity lighting in strides.

The look of the light stand goes extremely well w/ the design of the rest of the tank. The top and back surfaces are channeled to allow the lighting cables to be laid w/o sticking out.

It's hard to tell from my iPhone pictures (many apoligies) but the aluminum has not been drilled. I had it made to accomodate either a Giesemann (sp?) Nova pendant or an AI LED module. The finish also matches the front door of the cabinet perfectly.

The cost of the metal in itself isn't cheap, and I chose it because I didn't want something that would tarnish and fade in color over time.
