The whole point of pay pal is it's secure and they WILL refund your money if you dispute it. I have done it before from ebay. #2 if you send as a gift the sender pays the fee not the receiver it is not "FREE" for anyone.

Don't bet on it...PayPal with Ebay...is NOT the same as paypal alone
#2...neither pays fee for GIFT (except possibly CC fee)

I am so sorry to hear about this.....I'm sure that you tried in good faith to contact this Richard Cranium guy already....

It is not too much money at least. But regardless, it sounds like a scam and possibly a crime if the op fails to refund the money.

At this point I highly doubt it. I just hope nobody else gets suckered by this Richard Cranium.

One seems a lot bigger than the other.

I recommend everyone stay away from this guy, the mods apparently dont see anything wrong with what he did but I do.

okay im sorry to anyone who i may have caused trouble... there was an unexpected death in my family and i had to travel down to florida for a couple of days to I.D. my grandfathers body and then make arrangements for a wake and then a funeral... there was a little more on my mind then a stupid 10 dollar piece of algae, i was a little flustered and im sorry but your algae skipped my mind. i had a little more important things to worry about. im not trying to scam anyone because if i was like someone already posted i would have scammed bigger. between that and school i havent had time to ship out your stuff. if you dont want to do business with me after this event then find its your loss but i am legit and im not trying to scam you for 10 bucks.

i thought i was specific enough when i said i would be selling 5 dollar pieces... i took a picture of the whole thing and from that i was taking pieces off... obviously i suck and ill just leave this forum.

hey guys... i have a big nicely colored flame algae that needs to go. its about 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide.... im not asking much you can take a piece or the whole thing 15 bucks. ((second pic is from the top down)) i know the pics are bad i used my iphone. these are taken in my 125.

The post never mentions 5 dollar pieces. It says the whole thing $15 is an option and that is what I asked for. Also, from the two pics, the piece I received was a completely different macro. You can tell in the picture that it looks nothing like the original.
You also said shipping will be no problem. Which turned out to be a problem.
Maybe when you have the maturity to organize your life and deal with people better you can avoid things like this. A simple refund or communication would have avoided this.
My life is completely insane with the obligations I have. I still meet them.

#1 I never had an issue w/ paypal other than w/ ebay I had 1 seller not send what I paid for and paypal refunded me. That was my only personal experience and I was satisfied w/ the end result. I am not a fan of sending money to anyone via the internet or any other trasnfer method. I prefer cash in person therefore I do NOT get scammed.

#2 I'm sorry Alby but you are mistaken..when something is sent as a "gift" the SENDER pays the fee for it instead of it being subtracted from the amount sent.
