I just posted in the general discussion area about feeding my blenny, but I am not so sure I can keep him in my tank much longer.

He has been very healthy up until the last week or so- but he has stopped eating as much and has been listless lately. I am worried abou him- since he was really my favorite animal in the tank.

If I don't get some advice I think might work on my other thread, I would like to trade him to someone w/ a tank that is larger than 30g. He is pretty skinny at the moment and needs some TLC. (everything else in the tank looks healthy, so its not a disease or anything as far as I can tell..)

Would like to trade for some zoos or some other frag- but if no one ends up wanting him for trade I will give him away...

Pick up in Grand Central only- I might not trade him if in the next few days he looks better- so consider this as only a possible trade! :)

yeah- i've heard of them eating prepared foods. i was told to dig a litte well in the sand and plop some cyclopeeze in there (what they are fed at New World as well). Seems to have done fine for a while- but I really don't think he goes after the cyclopeeze as much as he should..

I might try blood worms tomorrow- heard they go after them a little better.

I wouldn't try another one of these in a tank less than 30g- unless you have a fuge w/ a ton of pods. Even though I know he has been eating something to have lived 4+ months, he certainly is much skinnier than he should be...

I'm am going to try blood worms- I've read some people have scooters that love them...

If he doesn't seem to like them either, Slama he's yours- though only if you would want to keep him, I probably won't be upgrading my tank size any time soon, so I don't think I will try and keep him again.

Ink- your next in line :) (btw- I can meet you tomorrow around lunch time to give you that game).

I love those fishes...the best way to get it to eat is holding a pipet with live brine shrimp. let the fish see the shrimp inside it and let it start attacking the pipet mouth..then start releasing the shrimp...

hmmm- thats what I've been doing w/ the clycopeeze...he does seem to eat it out of the tube. The only problem is that I can't feed him like that more than once a day- since I have the lights come on at noon and he's hidden until then.

Yeah- I hope he starts eating after I try the blood worms (or maybe brine shrimp- I'll soak them in a vitamin solution)- he had an amazing personality! Much better than my firefish - who just swims around and stares at you all day...

looks like my venerable Fred passed away today :(

looks like I noticed it too late...

on a brighter note I saw something really cool tonight- got some live brine shrimp to feed the scooter - and spot fed my corals. I didn't even intentionally spot feed my frilly shroom (got from the frag swap - not about 4" across!) - and it curled up on those shrimp like a trap! I've never seen it do that to cyclopeeze before! I could imagine it catching a nice fish pretty easily...

DUde sorry to hear about the scooter. Good luck, try mysis shrimp to they say it's better than brine. I just haven't seen anyone who sells live Mysis.
