SPS question?

I just some SPS frag today, trying to attach them to the LR. Some question I have..... How to attach SPS to LR other than using Super glue? I have almost used up my bottle of super glue, since it keep falling from the LR after some hours of using super glue. Anyway, my SPS is still sticking to the LR since the last time I applied the super glue, how long will it attached to the LR itself like those soft coral?

Use superglue GEL. Regular superglue is just too watery to get it to attach under water.

As far as it attaching to rock, it could take as little as a week or as much as a few month, depending on the frag and water conditions you have.

what you should do when using (hopefully superglue gel) is put a pencil eraser size amount of glue to the base of the sps frag, then dip it in tank water take it out for a sec. then put it werever u want it.. when applying it to the rock u want to turn the frag in a circular motion so the glue catches the rock and hold it for 30 seconds... and u should be done...

Yeap, I am using super gule gel... btw, where can I buy it? I got my bottle from where I order the coral. I didn't see these glue in the hardware store around my place.

Check out Lowes or Home Depot.

Don't know where you are in Bk but I get my glue at Lowes on 12th st btwn 1st and 2nd aves.

i have used crazy glue gel and it works pretty good and i get it at my local hardware store.some smaller stores will tell you that they never heard of it.so just keep searching

oh if im not mistaking home depot has them, i know they have them in the bx locations, its a little more $$ than the locale hardware but you can check with them if your search proves fruitless.gl

Best way to attach sps frags is as Tony described it. Couldn't be better!
Cyanoacrylate gel glue is better than epoxy which is messy and kills tissue at the distal aspect of the frag you are attaching...

A good place to get cyanoacrylate gel is a hobby shop. Get a nice fat tube for a good price...

Okay, if it fall again, I will use Tony's suggestion to glue it.. of course, after I get more glue gel.

i use 2 part putty.. works every time.
