coralline is used as an indicator that the conditions are right for coral growth.

but coraline dont need too much light like sps and no water movement
i guess you meant all the other water condition.

To clarify: My statement "If you can't grow coraline, you won't be able to grow SPS." is true. Just because you can grow coraline doesn't mean that you can grow SPS. SPS needs the same minimum requirements as coraline plus much more. (More light, proper water movement, etc)

Back to my question: I didn't see any coraline growing. How much do you have? It is overgrowing my tank, and is a pain to keep off the front and side glass, but my corals are thriving too.
