Here's a couple of pictures of a Leng Sy Clone that I picked up from Reefnutz about 6 months ago.

Does anyone know what type of Monti the Leng Sy is?

He's how the Leng Sy Clone looked before I got rid of it (cap on the right).

It's basically the thin, whorling plate growth, which is typical of a capricornis.

Here's my Idaho Grape, which is listed as an undata.

It also can display the similar plating growth, but it has much thicker ridges and corallites.

Here's an pic of my True Leng Sy Cap.

The upward growth of the nodules is the defining charateristic of this piece. It's more likely to be a M. tuberculosa or M. aquituberculata than an M. capricornis.

I'll be interested to see if my clone gets the nudule's that are typical of the true Leng Sy's.

I think it has more character than all of the caps that I have had in the past. Allthough the picture you posted of the mother colony that it came from certainly does look like a cap. Strange how differently corals grow from one tank to another.

It's possible, as you likely have more flow than I did.

That piece you got from me, was sold to me as the True Leng Sy from a guy in Virginia. As it grew out, it was pretty clear that it was a clone. The same guy had also claimed that the solitaryensis he sold me was the Tyree version. I'm starting to doubt that as well :x
