Hey Sue. Good to see you here again :)

I don't feed my SPS corals. I tried everything Sue mentioned but didn't see enough results to overcome my lazy nature.

To help out a local reefer... try Rotifeast! I believe cyclopeze is too large for SPS, and phytoplankton is too small.

IMO, Marine Snow is a joke, water down goo.

DT's Premium rocks. Rotifeast is good too. I feed a Rotifest type of food and my corals go nuts for it. Its called GP Larvel mix.

I believe that if you feed your tank a phytoplankton supplement, you can feed a population of planktonic microcrustations that live in your tank and this way you can indirectly feed your SPS this way.

Food Chain.

Thanks Len..appreciate that.. I've also heard that marine snow is like 99% water. Whether my sps are benefiting from what I feed I don't know but as for me I've seen some of the larger polyped acropora grab the free floating pieces.

I make my own fish food from one of those suggested recapies that have been floating around. I take a portion of it an puree it, then mix it back in. I have noticed the SPS feeding on it when I would feed the fish.

You can not compare GP to Roti-Feast, they are very different feeds. Roti-Feast is a gut packed rotifer, in suspension, whilst GP's are a micro-emcapsulated prepared feed.
