help. my sps digi broke.. :(

was curious in knowing if the piece of sps that broke off could be glued onto a pice of rock with no problem? i moved my tank today.. thank God everything seems to be doing well.. only problem was the poor sps who suffered.. Water is very cloudy. how long you think before it clears up? mini cycle is more than likely correct?

yes you can glue it back to a rock with no problem..thats how most sps are fragged..

Digi is very hardy, you should be able to glue the piece to a rock without a problem. The water should clear up over night, once the sand settles down and the filters pick up the floating particles in the water. As for a spike, it depends on how long everything was out of the water and if you had any die off on the LR or in the sand. It possible you wouldn't see any spike or just a small one. You should run some carbon and put in a poly pad just in case.

Another water change?

Okay so i moved my 28 gal jbj tank to my new place. Everything went well other than a sps breaking. I filled tank back up with existing water and i did a water change in the process.. My tank looks to be fine but its really cloudy.. my question is do i have to do another water change tomorrow or should i just leave tank alone and do my regular weekly water change next weekend? Any advise will be helpful.. Thanks

Could just be the sand particles floating around. Just wait a day or 2 for it to settle down.

I would't worry about it like that.... test tomorrow to see where your levels are at. Then test on Wed to see if the levels have dropped some or risen. That way you know if your going threw a mini cycle. I would then wait untill my regular w/c day, retest again to see if it has passed or not and then continue on with my w/c. Up to you.
