I have been seeing ALOT OF DOMINATE SPS tanks running ATI T5 FIXTURES. Who is running them and how is the growth? i was thinking about the new fixtures that just came out 2x 36inch by 10x bulb t5s with dimmable capabilities, with my profilux, let me know who is running them and what you think thanks all,

i have ATI sunpover 6 54w fixture ,and my sps are very happy and grow pretty good , but i think you have to make sure that water params are good too to see them grow, i could't be more happy with this fixture.

I have the same 300 gal tank and I run 24 t5 bulbs on it. I set up the tank about 30 months ago and it is doing very well. My fixtures are tek (the old ones) and I use giessmann bulbs (50/50) actinic+, aquablue+. The tank is 90% acro's and all accept maybe 2 are growing well with great color. I do change the bulbs every 6 months and I run the lights 12 hours a day. My water quality is kept up and checked weekly. And I do a 15% water change every 2 weeks. I did a lot of reading about lights before setting up this tank and in my opinion the added cost of ATI is a cost I could not justify to my self. A big draw back is that the reflectors need to be changed every 18 months, my fixtures are laying on the tank frame and the bulbs need to be wiped down every month. Hope this helps.

thats a 5 foot fixture what about the extra 1ft? if you do the math im only getting a extra 20watts. might do the 3 foot fixtures just want to know that it will be ok. 1x 60 inch fixture is 800watts while 2x 36 inch is 780watts. idk what to do so damn confused gerr lol anyone running these lights on a big tank? or anyone know about lighting i cant make a mistake in buying these fixtures and not getting the job done. thanks to all for the help

you might want to look at ATI 60'' 80W moduls , i think 10bulb one will give enough light. the out put of that fixture is insane..

You need to choose for your self everyone that will post for you will tell you what works for them. No one will every post something that does not work. You are setting up a big tank and you are going through the same thinking I went through when I set my up. What I suggest to you is which every way you go ask the seller if they will take the fixtures back if you don't like the way it is working. Most will say no however the few that will say yes I would try that. I am setting up a new 150 acro tank and I am trying Maxspect led's. I wanted to try LED's for some time now and he is the only one that would take his fixture back (less 10%). To me that shows he has something to sell. ATI also will give you a money back offer. Just be careful that 10 bulbs will not cover the 36" tank. Best of luck
