SPS on aqua-mag

I was curious in knowing if it is okay to put a small colony of birdsnest on a aqua-frag mag--it will be hanging from side of tank--will the colony grow fine even though it is side ways? im assuming it will start growing upwards? i know monti caps are fine

Yes sometime when I try to frag the entire colony is uprooted.

when you say uproot do you mean it breaks at the base of the mother colony?

I mean nothing breaks and the entire colony comes off the rock.
