Here is my 300 build.
Tank dimensions 96x24x31
Pump reeflo hammer head gold
2x?s vortech mp40 es
2x?s vortech mp60 es
Skimmer octo extreme xs 350
Sump marineland 125gal tank
Heaters 3x?s viva aqua 300w

It is at the back of the house. I was watching the amount of light that comes in before the tank got there,its only hitting the back of the house for 3 hrs max than blocked by the trees. Imo it shouldn't be a problem. But we shall see.

You need to be careful with the sunlight through the window, the glass on the tank can act as a magnifying glass and too much direct sunlight will heat the tank up super quick...
