This will be my first tank thread and third (most likely final) Tank. James started it all with introducing me to this wonderful hobby with his 29g Bio cube. I currently have a 50g cad lights (Artesian series) cube with a 30g sump, and 24" acan lights. Im quickly running out of real estate due to new and growing corals.
The specs of the new tank are 48" wide, 30" in depth, and 21" high.
The plan:
White course sand
2 new evolution 150 light modules
2 MP40's ES
Bubble Magus Skimmer- Purchased (rated up to 500g)
70 gallon sump - Purchased
Plumbing - Thanks in advance, Marcin
Electric- Im most likely gonna remove the current overhead lighting and run my wires through the ceiling...and thank you again, Marcin
Rock - Im studying some "celebrity" aquascapers and will come up with something soon. I currently have quite a bit of Marco rock and believe it may be causing elevated phosphates so i may be going another direction.
Return pump- Any suggestions/recommendations?
I'll be running carbon and phosban and will have a calc reactor.
Pix below! Big thanks to James and Marcin for helping me move this monster! And Randy and Dom for the suction cups which i still need to return. I'll add more pix as I progress...the plan is to have this tank running (no livestock) by the New Year.
