Morgans 110G Reef

So I am finally upgrading from my 75 gallon not drilled tank to a 110 reef ready.
I picked up the tank from a friend who broke it down recently it is a oceanic 110 thats 48x18x30

I will add pictures as I go!

Yes, get it leveled, so you don't have to think about for the rest of the life of the tank as I have done for the past 5 years.

you want the tank perfectly level. check front to back also.
is the stand on a hard floor or carpet?.....can't tell from the pic.

nice job cleaning up the tank, sump, and stand. can't picture them delivered clean....coming from alex.....lol.

Anyone know why my durso seems to be making a hissing noise and im pretty sure it shouldn't be??

i have never seen a durso with 2 holes in that area. is the top capped off and do you have a small piece of airline tubing coming out of the cap?

its the all glass aquarium overflow kit durso that they sell and no i dont have airline coming out of the top but i have seen that before i guess i could try that...

is that hole on the bottom side of the return nozzle (the locline)? and is it under the water level? if it's above, it could make a jetting sound.

tom its on the elbow that goes from the pipe to the output hoses on the return

hmmm....not exactly sure where that is. snap a pic. of it and lets see.

The hole is in the bottom of the elbow and it's making the hissing noise when I plug the hole the noise goes away so it's def the anti syphon hole

Ok so here is an update... I solved all the weird problems I was having so now the tank is almost done cycling with some liverock and some chromis....... Then I will start moving over the stuff from my old tank like all the rock and fish

Slow down the flow in the down pipe to keep a higher level of water in the overflow.
Thats what i did with mine.
