April tank update

have not updated for a while, added 3 new 250 bulbs and a CA reactor.

added the rock aaron made for me, thanks mate

moved the big clam to the top of the rocks,

no update is complete without a pic of house's insane cap,

more to come...

the turaki's growing well, it's lavender in real life,

and it has polyp extension now!

piece of undata I got from spykes long ago is doing nice,

this is a baby giant shroom, it's growing from a tiny piece that was left on the rock when I moved the big shrooms to the side of the tank,

this acro grew out of nowhere, I don't know what it is, anybody?

acro shaun gave me a while ago is growing well,

multiflora linkia is doing well,

the sailfin has worked his way into the tang pecking order and all the tangs get along great now, no one messes with the sailfin now.

not directly, I'm guessing he gets food when I feed the coral cyclopeeze, other than that I'm not sure what it eats.

Jon, great update mate. Everything is looking real nice. Great growth and colors. 'Grats.

I've got two different acro crabs. Sorry no pix. One is black/dark, like yours and the other is white. Both seem to do fine, no issues. I also don't feed them.......directly. Just whatever goes in the tank.

House, that cap is about half the size of it's big brother now, at back when I got the frag.

Jon, love the starfish. Finally some updates and some great pics!

Since you changed over to a CA reactor how is the growth for you? I know before you had insane growth from your sps with just doing your 2 part additives.

So when are you going to be free

I'll be free in June, really

I've had good growth, but I've also had some trouble with the CA reactor.
It had a valve that just would not work correctly. I would set it and it would change. Not a big deal except I would be gone for a week and find the alk at 14 when I got home. I lost a couple of colonies I grew from frags due to this. So this past weekend I took off all the crappy plumbing and valves the reactor came with (mrc pierce is right) and replaced them with good solid valves that will not fail. So far so good, it's been one day
Now that I did this I hope the reactor will be stable and my growth will get back on track.
I'm also planning on adding two part this summer. I'll be using a auto doser. I'm still going to keep the reactor just for redundancy. I just need to wait till I have time to work on the tank, right now I'm pretty busy.
