I had a duncan colony that took a couple of weeks to settle in, maybe thats whats its doin. Plus, with everything that your doing right now to stabilize youe parameters, it might take some time to get comfortable. Just keep an eye on it

update - moved the duncans to the bottom corner, so hopefully they will open up. The frogspawn looks great and the hammer is looking better, but still no progress on the acan.. Also went to Coral Theory in BK and picked up some nice frags. Will have some pics up when everything opens up.

After running Kent phosphate sponge for almost a week (2 day increments), my parameters are: phosphates .07ppm, calcium 420, pH 8.1, alkalinity 9.5, magnesium 1300. Hoping to get phosphates under .05ppm, but it's proving very difficult...

looking better.... take your time! dont rush getting frags and stocking like a mad man. just go easy with stocking. make sure your parameters are at the levels you want them and then start stocking corals and watch those parameters closely.

Hey, I just got some Duncans too like 2 weeks ago. I kept some of them shaded at first and I noticed the ones in the shade weren't doing well. The ones in the light started opening about your size when I tried target feeding them a little but not fully. Then I moved them all into the light like 2-3 feet in the path of the flow (and where all the food gets sent) and they really started opening up. I love how they look.

That's just my experience so far with them, not sure if the same will work for you. Food, light, and flow.

Are they opening up? I would try frozen mysis, mine grab every morsel that come within reach of their tentacles. You probably just need to give them more time too.

Thanks for looking at my tank thread. I like your rockwork better than mine though haha.

I've been trying that, feeding cyclopeez and phytomax. They don't really seem to grab the food... They still open but the skirts don't really extend. I haven't seen any tissue decay so I'm not too worried yet, getting an MP10 on Monday so hopefully they'll benefit from the water flow.

Pics under actinics. Got a few more frags last week, all are doing well except some zoas and palys that melted away pretty quickly. My acan is definitely coming back though. Strange how some things do well and others badly...
