Well I'm sorta back, It's a long way from the 280 I had, but I'm excited. Gonna take this one nice and slow. I picked up this 22" x 22" x 18" with everything on the back. Thanx mark. So I can run sumpless, but I think I'm gonna get a little sump built for undernieth (stay near the phone rich). lol. I built this stand for it, and for now I'm gonna leave it open till I figure out a sump. It's been up and running for about 2 weeks now. I'm gonna wait about another week til istart to fill it. The water paramiters are good. It's also gonna be a bit different in what fish I'm gonna stock, Going from 10 tangs (purple, blonde naso, etc) to wrasse's but I'll just spend more on corals. Anyway here go a couple pics.

Those pics above were taken a couple weeks ago, and now I was just about ready to start adding fish and coral when i decided to make some changes. First i decided to make the tank reef ready. Gonna do a sump and fuge. I have everything that was cycled in a couple brute pales. I made a 1" and 3/4" holes.

Need Help!

So after alot of alterations I made the stand bigger and wider. I wanted the room for the sump and fuge and ato. I was thinking about a seperate 10 gallon fuge. When i had the 280 i ran a 30 gallon display fuge i loved it. I looked at the fuge prob just as much as the DT. Anyway the stand now sits 40" high, and the top of the tank on the stand is 53" high. Is it to high, Does it look weird for such a small tank? should i take off a couple inches?

Here is the pic. I had a hard time last night uploading the pics. I left 5" on each side and in the front because i was thinking of putting tile around the tank. This way it's more room for under the tank for all my goodies.

Thanx guys. So i thought it was deffinetly to high so i cut it down 2 1/2". I also got alot done under. I'm gonna run the fuge alittle higher then the sump so it can gravity feed the middle chamber. I'm gonna try to get the plumbing done tomorrow and hopfully drill the 10 gallon witch is gonna be the fuge. here's a few pics.

I also picked up what i think I'm gonna need for plumbing. Hopfully i only have to make 1 or 2 trips to the depot cause i know i'm gonna need something. There was no way of doing any kind of plumbing today with the wife working and just me and my 3 kids home. lol. hopfully this week i can get this thing going.

Thanx. yes i have the holder there i just have to put the sock in it. I know it's over kill for such a small tank. But i get bored quick. And we know what happens when i get bored and upgrade. lol. So there will be enough here to keep me busy for a bit with wraping it and putting tile on top.

No way, I purposely set my tanks up higher than normal so I don't have to sit down from a couple of feet back to get a good look or bend down. I leave it were I can rest my arms on something, like a counter top effect, and gaze into my little ocean.
