Now... I think we all established by this time that he had already reinforced his stand with iron and welded it.

But I'm curious on the use of a sump pump...? How much maintenance do you do on that? I mean clearly it was not made for a saltwater application. So do you clean that often?

It hasn't been in to long and still looks brand new also said it could be used for aquariums and is a continuous run pump oil free. It does not even have salt creep on it

I would get rid of the sump pump, I think you took that part a little to literally lol. It would be fine for a fresh or fish only tank. But I'm sure it was never meant for a reef tank, I bet there is already some metal in there rusting.

Ill put my spare on it and take it into work with me and pull it apart and check if so ill replace the metal parts with plastic. That's what I do for a living
