yea i used 60 % Water from established tank the rest 40 % instant ocean .
my tank is a 35 gal tank i went with about35 lbs of live rock..
and went with a 2 maybe 2 in a half inch sand bed ( live sand )
sump - live rubble rock and a 2 inch sand bed with sand taken from established tank.
no sock for about 1 week heater on high 80 degrees to help with bateria grow build up .. test your waters nitrite will be a little high do water change 30 % of your water and add sock to sump wait a day or two check water ph will be low add buffer to bring it up.. wait a few hours nitrite ammomia and nitrate should check out... start off with mushoom type coral... then a hardy fish... and slowly bring down water temp to 80 degrees and dont do water change for a while to help with more build up of bat.... specific gravity at 1.022-1.024 and thats where im at now all my water parameters and calcium is on point ..

ill keep you guys updated since i still do want to bring my temp down a little more to about 75 ..
but yea my zoas frags grow fast my duncans open up big and so do all my mushoom hammer tips and frogs tips and torches .. my blue magicans color looks great eagle eyes look great fire and ice and dragon eyes look great and big.. my dwarf loin fish looks great and eats just fine and my rainbow rose bubble tip is sexxy.... i notice lil white bugs dont know the name of it but i was told thats good you can see them at night with lights off.. i know it was rushed.. but theres always short cuts in live... hit me up if you got any questions.. oyea i have a blood shrimp lol
so yea this tank is about 4 weeks old now... all my water test is great...
enjoy..
