Mheaven's 125g upgrade....

Hello everyone , picked up my 125g tank today. Getting all the materials ready for this build, I will post updates on the progression of the tank.

I'm very exited about this project and hope I get it right the first time. Here is a short list of some of the equipment:


MTC-250 external skimmer w/ mag 7 pump.

40g breeder sump.

2- 36" Aquactinics TX5 fixtures.

Mag 2 return pump( may end up using a mag 5)

3 - MP10 Wes pumps( will upgrade in the future to 2- Mp 40 ).

PanWorld 100PX-X closed loop w/ Oceans Motion super squirt.

I think we spoke about this already but check the glass thickness against the MP10's. They might not work for that tank.

I'm on it already... The glass is 3/8" thick. So far the mp10 is holding...

Rookie I only left for about 1.5-2 years. It's hard to leave this hobby.

evoIX, tank will not have as many sps as my 40b. I will have some high end sps hopefully, need my buddy( jf2381) to hook it up...lol.

Well got together with Jose today and we finished the tank stand as well as my step stool. I can reach the bottom of the tank without a problem....

I'm going to start with the lights over the weekend. I have to purchase another hanging kit from Ecotech, I like the way they fit on my Aquactinics fixture. Will post some more pics soon.

your 40 breeder was amazing! good luck. Your new tank does not have an overflow?

No it doesn't , going with a hang on overflow. I'm not a big fan of reef ready tanks. I usually drill the tanks or use a hang on, didn't want to take a chance on drilling this tank.

i used an eshopps hang on overflow and was very pleased.
