I don't know why i do this to myself but I had a small 3 Gallon pico at work and after sandy I took it down and put all the livestock that survived 2 out of the 4 days of no power into my DT at home. Instead of restarting the 3 Gallon I decided to upgrade to this 45 Gallon! WHY?! lol

Stand and leak water leak test outside. I rinsed the outside of the tank. It's not a failed test with all that water on the floor. Lol

just picked it up yesterday. just doing the water test first. then find a sump and a skimmer and light. so i havent decided exactly how i want to go about it yet.

The tank is at work so i might go with one ai sol. or maybe a T5 setup since I love the growth from my T5.

Also, im probably going lps with this tank since it will just pretty much be eye candy for work and I dont want too much it to be too complicated at work.

thats awesome man! if your thinking of high end lighting like you mentioned why not do a zoa/ anemone tank? throw a few clowns in there. IMO clowns interacting with anemones and with each other is the most entertaining thing to watch in my tank. throw a bunch of nice zoas from your display in there because you have an infestation of rastas on that frag rack lol

thanks carlos. works well as a holding tank too for when i buy coral during work and have it waiting until i go home. or when I bring corals to work to trade or sell to fellow reefers. win win!

Once you have that thing setup, you'll have an office full of admirers and reef addicts, lol... I would have gone bigger if work is paying the electric bill :).

so far I picked up a Remora C urchin skimmer and building a sump from a 10 Gallon standard tank from petco for $10 bucks.

Purchased a current 4bulb t5/MH combo for lighting. Using 4 ati blue plus bulbs and a 150 MH bulb.
