Starting A New Tank

have you been feeding the tank to give the bacteria food? you can use basic flake fish food

I added 3 fish some snails after the algae bloom and an emerald crab as well. I am also using macro algae and chemi pure after the fish were added so that may have helped as well. This is the first time I have ever had a tank with no perceptible spikes at all in the first couple months.
