SO I STARTED THIS TANK BACK IN FEBRUARY, AND AS SOME OF YOU KNOW IVE BEEN STRUGGLING BACK AND FORTH WITH WATER PARAMETERS AND TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION, BUT IVE MANAGED TO GET INTO A ROUTINE TO NOT DOSE AND ADDED A FAN TO KEEP TEMPERATURES DOWN. IN THIS TANK THERE ARE A FEW FISH,
BLUE HIPPO-ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER
MAROON CLOWN
PURPLE FIRE FISH
3 BLUE/GREEN CHROMIS
FAIRY WRASSE
ALGAE BLENNY
2 PEPPERMINT SHRIMP

THE CORALS ARE ALL MIXED WITH ZOAS, NEMS, LEATHERS IF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME ID AND LIST THAT'LL BE AWESOME.
SO I THINK THATS IT FOR NOW BUT HERES THE BEST PART (THE PICS)

Criticism taken with a smile, all ideas will be taken into consideration. Not the best aquascape but my zoos all have encrusted and decided to leave it as is.
There is a power head under the rocks on the back right corner to keep the water flowing under the rocks.

I will give you some if you are asking, I was gonna give this to you anyways. Get rid of that Marron clown, it will most likely kill off the rest of your fish. It is one of the nastiest and largest clowns avaliable. Also that hippo needs to go, it will outgrow your tank within a year. They get large and should be kept in larger tanks like 220 plus. It wil be ok for a few months and them i would move it. The tank you have is to small for any tangs as a permanent home. Other than that it looks good.

Had the same tank loved it!! Now it's up to you to take my advice,,besides the obvious that
Jaa1456 pointed out...not to sure why you went with black sand...as you can't see if any nitrification is going on..get more powerheads in the(besides the 2 returns if you have 2)and also I would remove some of the rocks off the back glass or atleast the sides.theres plenty of dead spots in the tank for detritus to build up and promote bigger problems in the future.and if you have 2 returns I would change out the returns with maxijet 1200's and also get the jbj wave maker!it will give you plenty of flow and keep the algae down.and last but not least..other than that enjoy the tank and love this hobby as much as most do here...and don't take my comments to heart

Advice taken. I do have another power head below the rocks along the back wall to keep the water flowing there. The black sand is the only regret I have but to change it now will be like starting the tank over again. Any advice on how to change the sand?

Wish I would have save my maxijets...I ended up giving the tank away with the pumps when I cracked the back...as far as the sand goes I would remove a little at a time till you have bare bottom then add white sand.you have mostly softies so they should be alright...do you have dual returns on your tank?I had the hqi 28 biocube I'm not sure what other models come with the dual returns

So i finally got around to purchasing some upgrades for my tank

jbj auto top off

maxi jet 900 x 2- for return

fiji pink carib sea sand

the jbj ato wasnt as hard as i thought to set up, i had to get 1/2 inch hose in order to use with stock return pump i removed when upgrading the returns. I was told i could use airline tubing but couldnt find an adapter.

Then came the part i thought was gonna be a pita but wasnt, i removed 90 % of the old substrate which was the black sand (more like gravel if you ask me) and putting in the pink fiji. I had to re do my aquascape 2x first just because i wanted to and second bc i had to get the maroon clown out and that was a task on its own. So let me stop the rambling and let the pics do the talking. Tried my best! :banghead:
