Ok guys so I got my hands on this beautiful tank and decided why not what the hell. So I'm doing a very basic set up the tank is abou 30 gallons not drilled, I have about 60 lbs of rock half dry half live. Live sand about 2 inches, filtration will be very simple an hob aqua c with Maxy jet, I will also be doing 5 gallon water changes with sea water from pet land. Light I'm going the led way with a kessil a 150 but eventually will upgrade due to tank being soo deep. That's all for now tell me what u think. Also this will be SOS dominated tank.

Cool tank! The only issue I can see with the tank being SPS dominant is the filteration. Converting the HOB into a refugium might help with nutrient reduction. What do you plan on stocking?

+1 this would make filteration much more effective and give you increased water volume.

Thanks but im not going that route. Ive been pretty successful with hob skimmers and water changes. Ive done the whole sump thing, i want to keep it pretty simple. I can even get away with the water changes but just threw in the skimmer to keep it crystal clear.
