Hello everyone i have a question to ask. is about tank size and stands.
i currently have a 55 gallon tank with stand as you can see in the pictures that dimension are 48" long by 12.5" width, and im thinking in buying a 120 gallon tank that dimension is 48" long by 24" width. can i still use this my stand to support the 120 gallon?? the lengh is the same with both tank so the 120 gallon will be fully supported but the width is that will have 6" on back and 6" on front hanging as you can see my pictures me measuring how will be looking with the 120 gallon onthe stand,. is it possible for me to keep stand for the 120 gallon tank? also notice that the stand at the bottom the legs actually extend beyond the 12.5" width to 16"

all input will be greatly aprecciated thanks:thanks:

Honestly I rather build my own stand than even buy a factory made one...atleast I know if it fails it's my own fault.most factory stands (IMO)are under rated for the amount of weight they hold and are cheaply made

True , and you can make it to your benefit, Height, side doors ,shelfing ect

I have used smaller stands before, BUT>> I wedged some 2x6's all around the interior perimeter of cabinet from top to bottom and then placed a larger 3/4 piece of plywood a few inches bigger than the dimensions of the new tank screwed into the existing top and placed tank on top of that.
