Thanks guys.

Mike, the frags I got from you are doing really well. Hopefully they'll be full colonies in a couple of months.

Will, I built the overflow following a thread over at RC. I used 2 peices of glass that ran the length of the tank, one for the bottom and the other for the side. I've had some fish go over the top a few times but I have the drains covered with some gutter guard. If you have any specific questions just post them here or pm me.

i would def. put more rocks in there... just my opinion... i had the open look and i hated it due to coral placement and number of corals i could have in the tank... me personally i like diversity and the open look restricted me from having a diverse tank... its all up to u... ur the one that has to look at it everyday... but great job so far...

If you want to get rid of the leather, I know many of us are softies fans. I"m currently finishing up repairs to my 75 gal. I/m upgrading from 55 gal. In your thread you noted that you have a 90 gal w/55 gal sump. Is this a standard 55 gal, and if so how did you get the protein skimmer, etc. underneath. I assume you have an open metal stand. Pics would help. I'd like to do the same w/my setup.

I'm currently running a tek 6 bulb fixture. There are 3 aqua blue plus, 2 actinics and a miday bulb. I should be changing them in a few months.
The sump is not in the stand, its actually in the adjacent room. Its a 55 gallon that I partitioned with the skimmer on one side and the refugium on the other. The return is in the middle.

Here is a pick when it was first setup:

Its a bit more broken in now.:splitspin

I'll post update picks for the month of April in a few days. If anyone has any more questions I'm more than happy to talk about my tank. :tongueani

April Update

Made a change in livestock, got rid of the larger Tomato clown that was just beating down my smaller clown and traded her for a Amphiprion polymnus - Saddleback Clownfish. She's a beaut!

Got rid of the midas blenny and got this:

Early in the month I had a small case of flatworms that seemed to have resolved itself. I havent seen any for weeks. I did siphon up a few but I think the mandarin may have cleaned them up for me. I'm still seeing tiny pods on the glass so I'm sure she's getting plenty to eat.

Also since dosing Randy's 2 part I've noticed that my pumps weren't doing so well so I took the chance during my last water change to do a little spring cleaning. I took out my pumps for my skimmer and closed loop, as well as my maxijets and gave them a nice vinegar bath. Now they're nice and clean. Running smooth.:tub:

April pics coming up!
