Mike,
I'd go as big as possible (180) if I were you or you will regret it down the road....see if you can pick up a used tank. I'll keep my eyes posted....
Why "not reef ready" ?

Got the top coat on. Using exterior semi gloss.

Also did some plumbing work for my water changes.

They will be semi automatic. Each sump will have a mag18 for the drain. Drain line goes upstairs to a retractable hose that goes in the storm drain.

Then for refills same but reverse. My SW mixing station is powered by a snapper. I made it so I can just turn the valve to the tank I want to refill.

Ha yeah right! I always had the refill plumbed to my sump, but I still had to drain it with a small pump and hose into a barrel then pump it out.

This way once the hose is in the gutter... I hit the WC button on my Apex, it will kill the relevant pumps and accessories, press the "drain" button to on and once drained open the valve in the WC pump.

So stands are done, positioned and leveled. Floor is touched up. Tanks and sump are enroute. They should be here next week.

Balance of plumbing parts are on order. As well as return pump.

Should come together rather quickly.

Today my goal is to get the light brackets mounted. I want to do this before the tanks are in. Should be pretty straight forward for the ATI on the rear tank

The 96" I am using 2x 36" Reefbrite Halide set ups. That will give me (4) 250w halides and (4) 36" XHO's Should be good coverage. The Lights will be mounted to a 72" Piece of 8020 and then I have a Light lift that will Screw in the beam. Only 1 of the 36" set ups will be mounted to start as one is being used in the 80 until I can transfer everything in that tank over.

I also decided I am going with a new 125 gallon tank to replace the 80 Deep blue. It gives me the 6' swimming room I want and will be more manageable in the space I have for it. Not to mention I will be getting a new one so I can drill it to work for my space.

I have to tell you, mounting lights before a tank is in was awesome. Usually I'm working over a tank. Really let me center everything perfectly.

Next week is a big week.

90% of my plumbing parts will deliver today.

All my new Apex modules Monday.

Tanks and sump on Tuesday.

Return pumps and various other plumbing stuff next Wednesday.
