Main: 175 gallon "Oceanic" acrylic flatback hex tank set up October 2001. Plenum topped w/1" aragonite, 1.5" crushed coral, 2" live sand. 150lbs fiji live rock, purchased "dirty" and used to cycle tank.
Skimmer: AuquaC-150.
Light: 2 175 watt 12K MH, 2 55 watt PC actinic (all Custom Sealife), on 12pm - 12am.
Circulation: 2 Rio's; 1700 and 2100.
Sump: overflow/gavity fed. approx. 30 gallons; broken into 4 chambers: 1st water goes through skimmer, then into two chambers each of which contains live sand, and macro algae (red grape, red leaf, curlie cue, and some brushes and fans), last chamber has small powerhead with venturi to add oxygen, passes through a carbon pad and is returned to main tank via rio powerhead. Sump is lit by 2 55 watt VHO's: 1 actinic blue, one full spectrum, on 12am-12pm.
