Hi Peter, thanks for the comment  the ecorals that you ask are zoanthids (polyps) and Ricordia florida (mushrooms) is you are starting they are great candidates and pretty hardy, sorry I didnt answer earlier , I had some problems with the login to the forum.

Rob, beautiful tank! I'm thinking of upgrading my 2x175w MH over my 150g to 2x250 or 2x400. How high above the water are the bottom of your bulbs and do the fans do an adequate job of cooling?

Hi reefkeeper1, it all depends really in the corals you want to keep? if you are going to have a mixed soft /sps tank you could even stay on the 175w range I have seen some great tanks lit by 175's keep the sps up in the higher areas of your tank, 250's better and 400's super! but very hot too! I have 2 x 4" Icecap fans and I just recently got a 1/4 hp inline chiller to keep the temp 79-80 all the time, if not I would have seriouse temp problems 8O,
hope it helps :D

I wold go with 400's if its a sps clam dominated tank, but mixed 175, 250 is ok IMO

Hi peoples, this is a very simple question for all you reef buffs but we are just starting and would like to know what the corals in the 2nd last and last pics are??

The ones in the second-last are various-colored zooanthid polyps, and the last are ricordea mushrooms.

Both are relatiely easy to keep with modest lighting, if you're interested.
