Just for reference when I'm asking questions.
I'm a true newbie. Bought my tank in February 2003 with everything already in it, but no fish. The guy sold it because he couldn't keep fish alive...Not QTing them and he had a few wipe outs....his loss is my gain! I payed $600 for a 40 gallon set up. Dropped another $600 on a 72 gallon bowfront two months ago and everything is great.
Specs:
72 gallon pre-drilled bowfront with wet-dry for a sump
Bio-balls in the overflow
about 90lbs of LR in the tank 30lbs of branch, 30lbs of some other rock, and 30lbs of limestone which is now officially LR with coralline and all!
10lbs of LR in the trickle section of the sump.
Corals: Tons of frogspawn, three kinds of green star polyps, tons of shrooms, yellow polyps.
lighting: two 96watt PCs
Fish:a PJ cardinal and a firefish
inverts: One cleaner shrimp (a peppermint I got rid of ate another pep and the other cleaner!), 12 hermits (too many) some reds, some blues, and two grey with bright red whiskers that I haven't IDd yet.
