Well here is the basics

The tank is an Ocenanic 110X that means 48X18X30. It is drilled for a corner overflow.

Current lighting

440 watts VHO on an IC 660
2 URI 50/50
2 URI super actinic
on for 12.5 hours a day

I am in the process of putting on a dual 400MH system. I will be using a PFO standard dual ballast and reflector I am leaning towards the CoralVue 10K for the lamp.

My Skimmer is a MyReefCreation MR-2 Powered by a Mag18

Return pump is a Mag12 comming back thru a SCWD

A mag18 powers an over the back closed loop returned tru 2 SCWDs

Behind my rock I have 2 spray bars powered by a MJ1200 each

And a MJ1000 is in the tank because I had it laying around

I recently tore the tank down to redo my livingroom floor so I am in the process of adding by my DSB. Going well so far with about 3/4 of it back n after 2 months. Along with that I have 110 +/- lbs of rock Most of it Hatian and the rest is Fiji as far as I know.

Current stock is

10 SPS of difereny types (some hitched in on my rocks so I have no clue what type those are)
5 LPS
4 Leathers
3 polyps/zoos
GSP
2 'shrooms

3 green BTA's (started with 1)

1 cleaner shrimp
2 pepermint shrimp

7 turbo snails
4 certh
6 nassauirs (SP)
a couple unknowns

I think I have an urchin. My tank still amazes my I have not added any new rock in about 18 months and saw it for the first time tonight. It's about 1/2 in diameter at the body. It looks like a pencil urchin, but I need to do more research.

The fish are not really mine, I let my kids pick them out.

Sailfin tang
Yellow tang
Kole Tang
Gold stripe Maroon clowon
PJ cardnal
Mandarin Dragonet (the only fish that IS mine)

I think that is it. I have a pre floor pice on my work puter that I can add tomorow.

Tank updates

Last week I added a royal gramma, a nice addition IMO. Today I added a pink plate. I checked it out after lights out and it expanded like a ballon.

I really nead to borrow a digi cam.

That is impressive that you have so much coralline growth in a 30" tall tank with only 440 watts of VHO. Any secrets on getting such phenomenal growth? (more actinic than white?)

No secrets. I use 2 50/50 and 2 actinic URI bulbs. I dose seachem Reef atvantage calcuim and reef builder twice a week at a little more that the recomended dosage. When I tore the tank down last september the back was completly covered with coraline. It helped that I had a lot of coraline on my seed rock it just took off on its own.

Sadly, my 110 is no more. I moved into a smaller house and will be getting a smaller tank. When the new tank is up I will post specs.
