I use this board to tell somthing about me. My Name is Andreas Pridzun and I´m from Germany, I´m 29years old and since around 10 years a reefkeepe. A first I please you not to lough about my english, cause the last time I really practice this language was in my schooltime 11 years ago.

In my tank I keep at least 90% SPS coralls and 10% mixture of LPS and softcoralls as well as 4 Tridacnas.
Fishes are one Paracanthurus hepatus, one Zebrasoma flavescens, one Rhinomuraena quaesita, Echidna nebulosa, 2 Dascyllus aruanus, and 2 Okinawa Grundeln (don't know the real Name, sorry)

Hy Louey,

thanks for flowers. What should I tell about my tank. It works like the "Berliner System" coupled with the "Jaubert-System", this means that I use a Proteinskimmer (ATK Junior 2) with some selfmade betterments. I tuned it with a 4000 l pump and build in a second reactiontube like the Schuran-skimmer have. I will place a pic this evening. The Jaubert-System I think is well known. It means a Tank with a gridpanel on the floor with 2cm distance to the bottom, over the gridpanel comes a gaze and over the gaze come at first gross coralgravel, then finer corallgravel and then really fine corallgravel. This should bring a anaerobic zone in the plenum (the zone under the gridpanel) where nitrate will be reduced.

The light comes from 2 HQI´s with 150W 10000K an 6 t5 neon lamps like this: http://www.atiaquaristik.com/2003/image ... ch%201.jpg.

at least I control my CA, KH and MG with the "Balling-Methode", don´t know how well is known in USA. It means that you daily spend a little dose of each component to stabilize the above named paramters. The liquids composed of water mixed with "Calciumchlorid- dihydrat" in one canister, "Natriumhydrogencarbonat" in a second canister and at least NaCl-free mineralsalt in a third canister.
