I have been searching around for new forums following the temporary demise of my usual one and I stumbled across this one :)

Anyway, I thought I would post some pictures of my tank which has been running for nearly four years.

The specs are as follows


Length: 185cm

Width: 70cm

Height: 100cm

Volume: 300 gallons including 48" x 18" x 18" sump

Filtration: 35Kgs live rock, 8 litres of sintered glass pellets from my old system and a deltec AP703 skimmer

Lighting: Arcadia series3 triple 250w halide unit with 10k blv lamps

Substrate: About 100kgs of coral sand

Circulation: two 3500 lph return pumps, two 6100 streams and a 6200 stream giving around 39x turnover

Decorative materials: The tank was aquascaped with a mixture of drilled tufa rock and skeletons from dead corals. A very open structure was formed with the aid of a couple of dozen packs of milliput.

I was very fortunate to have the Magnifica anemone divide into two about two years ago. I have kept one half and given the other half away. The half I kept is now almost as large as the parent was at the time of splitting

Some of the pictures were taken with a Nikon coolpix 5700 and some were taken with a Konica minolta dynax 5D which is a much more capable camera.
