Livestock has changed a bit. First, the bad news...Doc, my surgeonfish died an untimely death late last summer. I think he had some problems from the fish store, though. I also lost a little Six Line Wrasse about a month ago. The Royal Gramma and Coral Beauty didn't do him any favors - they beat him up pretty bad. He was the coolest fish ever. I want another one, but I hesitate adding any other fish b/c my 3 guys are so territorial in this smallish tank. I've also lost 4 or 5 Turbo snails and 3 or 4 Red Leg hermits (the neon blue legged ones kill them, it seems). Everything else is alive and well.

I've added a Tridacna Maxima (about 3-4"), a couple of types of Zooanthids, a Candy Cane and Green Star Polyps. I've had to whack some of the Xenia b/c it just keeps trying to grow everywhere. I've managed to contain in the top, middle of the tank. I also let some grow in the refugium with the macros and hermits.

I'm not adding anything too exotic or difficult to maintain right now. I have high hopes of moving up to a 150-200gal tank within the next year or two so I'm saving up for that. My sump/refugium/tank location is a real bugger when it comes to maintenance. I'll definitely be building a very spacious "behind-the-scenes" area when I get a bigger tank. A cramped cabinet area is horrible.

Well, enjoy the pics! They're nothing special, but I'm proud of the tank so far. BTW, the tank is just about 1 year old now.

Happy reefing!
