Hello to all! In my second year of reefkeeping. Started with a 55 gal tank which was given to me and my wife popped up and said "Let's do saltwater". Little did she know what those 3 words would do to us. LOL!Upgraded to a 90 RR this year. Going slowloy as my budget will alow, still need to upgrade my skimmer, but my tank is starting to come around. At this point it's a FOWLR, but once I feel it's ready gonna start getting softies and shrooms. I'm a water plant operator which helped to understand the chemistry behind reefkeeping, plus having a lab at my disposal with a Hach DR400 Photospectrometer for some of my tests makes it cool.
My setup includes:
90 Gal RR Glass aquarium. DIY Stand
50# Caribean Live Rock. Soon to be adding a bunch of Agrocrete rocks which are curing.
90# CaribSea Sugar Sand
2 Koralia 4 Stream pumps. Gotta have Flow!
Mag Drive 7 in 20 gal sump
Coralife 65 SS. Way underpowered, My next purchase or I'll build one.
Phosban Reactor off a maxijet 600.
Nova Extreme HO T-5 lights. Coralife Digital Timer.
Livestock includes: Yellow Tang, True Perc Clown, Cherub Angel, Rusty Clown Goby, Lawnmower Blenny, Assorted hermits, one is 2" long, Astreas and Nassaruis snails, Coral Banded Shrimp, and a clump of Chaeto tied to the return line with fishing line as it does better under the T-5's.
Future projects will include: A new skimmer or a DIY recirculating one. Agrocrete in process, about 100# in a trash can curing.
Separate refugium for Chaeto and pods, and of course corals once new rock and skimmer is in place.
Not in a big hurry to complete everything, plus I work two jobs, so my time is limited.
Looking forward to talking with Ya;ll.
