So, it was 2 months in the making for reasons I couldn't explain if I tried. But it's finally ready to go. My downgrade tank: 33 Oceanic Cube. House of Fish did the drilling, NY Acrylics made a custom cube sump. Pics of the tank were by Russ, I took the terrible pix of the sump (my camera sucks.)

There is, as you can see, an external overflow and a closed-loop. Marrone will be helping me plumb.

I'm putting on it a Current 2-bulb (80w total) fixture. At this point I only plan to keep gorgs/fans and mushrooms. There will be black (with some white) sand. And a community tank - my fish list is still in progress. Any and all suggestions are welcome! :wineglass

Looks nice Dmitry.

One question though, how much gallons per hour are you planning on pushin through those few holes?

There will be a Mag 7 (700gph) on the return from the sump, and a PanWorld 40 (480gph) on the closed loop. There's no serious length to the tank, so I think the flow will be ok. And the external pump for the closed loop can always be upgraded.

Anybody have suggestions for fish?? I'm getting a pair of Clowns for sure, but other suggestions for colorful and active fish would be welcome!

So...Mike (marrone) and I were trying to plumb the tank today, but the list of items I'd need to do the plumbing that Russ gave me was incomplete. And there's no Loews in Queens, so there's no easy way to get the correct items for plumbing. Another week down with no progress...

Does anyone by chance have some 1'' flexible PVC? It seems to be rather hard to come by in stores. I can order some on-line, but that's going to take a little while to get. I really wanted to plumb everything this weekend. C'est la vie.

I have some 1" flex pvc from another tank I took down. You're welcome to it if you like but I'm in Jersey.

Thanks dude, but the problem is getting around. If I had wheels I'd have taken myself to the Loews in Brooklyn. As it is, FedEx is likely to get more of my $$$. They sure don't deserve it, though! :biglaugh:
