it depends how you want to execute the stand.....u can build the stand for the tank and wrap cabinets around it....u can search the web for tank building ideas and go from there....lots of info floating around.

Nice upgrade Greg.
Is the tank 24 or 28 high?

Not to sure about the booster pump.
How's the pressure of the home water system?
I think typical membranes need around 50 psi.

Don't stress out too much.
I went through a lot during my 140g upgrade this year as well.
You will definetly enjoy the end results.

:smash: lol

This hobby charges way too much for some things.
The diy wavebox is working very well.
I really see no difference between both, so I would stay with what I have.

The box was built to factory size specifications, equipped with a tunze 6100, and the diy controller makes perfect on/off oscillations.
I can get 1 inch waves easily in my 5' long tank.
Not to mention it is also a corner overflow.
In my old 4' long 90g, I was able to get slightly higher.

it is 28 high
Dude, my tank is 30 high and I'm running 250 watters.
Are you planning to run 250w as well?

greg, congratulations on the upgrade.

with only 1 foot on each side to work with those are going to be some real narrow cabinets. will the tank be offset, or do you want it centered in the wall?

for booster pumps you'll want to look at the 8800, and the permeate pump combo.

what i mean is..would center overflow be a problem with wave box positioned on the back panel?

The wavebox actually peforms better on a tank with a center overflow.
As for position, you mean on one of the side panels?
I have never seen them placed directly on the back wall of the tank, considering that it is only 24" deep.
