Looks amazing...great work on the wood!

Now, granted I have no experiance with Mantis shrimp, however, from what ive read. they will scratch the glass up alittle. AND, they have alot of force when smashing things, and they might crack/break that acrylic. It looked very thin to me, but I cant really see the thickness from the pics. Im very jealous, I wanted a mantis tank for a while.

Thanks Rookie, the tank is 1/4 inch thick acrylic...he's not breaking that. I'm really digging that 120 tank you started! been tagging along on your thread

Honestly, is wood working part of your profession?

thanks george, No it really isn't.. Just like to play with wood :tongue1:

John, I just found this thread :banghead: The scratch removal job was sensational. Your woodwork is the best I've seen on MR, so I'm not surprised.

As for your mantis..........dude, I'm really digging him. Feeding him is a freakin' blast. He's got a great personality. My wife and daughter are terrified of him, even in the tank. They keep asking if he can get out :lol2: I told them yes. And then he grows legs, climbs stairs, and stalks.

You're gonna have a load of fun with him. Just don't overfeed him. Since I know where he'll be, you better put a lock and key on the hood and the food. Don't want your buddies spending the day watching him eat.

Bueller,
I just watch something on discovery chanel...they were making wooden lacrosse sticks...they bent the wood by hand....I thought of you and your trouble with bending wood when I saw it...maybe you can find it and see what they did?
